This was a derive up the Finchley Rd at night with a small and rumbustious audience. Night walking is an area of discomfort for many women and minorities as there is a real or imagined threat in the darkness. I have always walked at night but I have to tell myself a mantra while walking and keep in hypervigilent state of panic. This walk pointed out some of the gendered aspects of the built environment.
